About Jon Walker

Jonathan Jacob Walker, better known as Jon Walker, is a Chicagoan musician best known for being the former bassist of Las Vegas pop-rock band Panic! at the Disco before his departure in 2009.

After leaving Panic! at the Disco, he went on to form the short lived retro-rock band The Young Veins with Panic!’s former songwriter, guitarist, and backup vocalist Ryan Ross. Inspired by bands like The Beach Boys, their only release, Take a Vacation!, came out in 2010, before the band went on an indefinite hiatus.

Since then, Jon has gone on to release his own folk-inspired solo music through his Bandcamp page and iTunes, the first full-length release being 2011’s New Songs. As of late, he has contributed vocals to ex-keytarist of Cobra Starship Vicky-T’s track “Push Comes to Shove.”
